Hey y'all! Sorry for the late post; I've had a combination of camps and babysitting so I've been pretty booked these past couple weeks. Anyway, I wanted to share with you an end-of-year English assignment that I did. The assignment was to write something called a TED Talk, which, if you didn't already know, is basically someone talking about one of their great ideas. We had less of a task by writing ours about something that interests us. I did mine about bullying. I thought I should go ahead and post it because, in my opinion, it's got some pretty interesting information. In this post I have: a script of my talk, an audio file, and an example of a real TED Talk.
First off, here's the audio file:
First off, here's the audio file:
If you are seeing this message it is because I am having technical difficulties with this audio recording. I am sorry for any inconvenience. | And the script is over here. It's pretty long so please hang in! It might be helpful to read along with the audio file because of the specific information and any mispronunciations on my behalf.

This is one of my favorite TED Talks. It has nothing to do with bullying but it's incredible and inspiring. It's also pretty long. So, this is a great post to read/watch/listen to when you're really really really bored. ;)
Thanks for reading all the way through! I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll try to post again late this month and early August. The August post will be survey results. If you haven't already taken the survey it's in the previous post.
Keep Calm and Bully-Proof On,
Maya
